INTERNATIONAL AWARENESS PROGRAMS
Shoji Australia offers opportunities to schools for hosting students from Japan through short and long term individual visits. All students benefit by the school fostering international cultural awareness and friendship. Being involved in cultural exchange provides a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to experience another culture and broaden their outlook on life. Programs that assist in forming international relationships should be valued and nurtured.

ROLE OF SHOJI AUSTRALIA
- An experienced Shoji coordinator liaises with the school to prepare for a visit and monitor the program.
- Host families are found through advertising in the school and then Shoji Australia takes responsibility for coordination of all correspondence and arrangements with families.
- Professional bilingual staff supports the program throughout the stay and offer 24 hour assistance to students and host families. Shoji Australia takes responsibility and duty of care for all visiting students.
ROLE OF HOST SCHOOL
To provide the Japanese student with the opportunity to join in with the corresponding year classes and participate in class activities. This is a culturally based visit so the Japanese student is not required to sit exams or enrol in the school. Classes the Japanese student will attend can be arranged in accordance with the school requirements.
