Since its establishment in 1985, Shoji Australia has been successfully operating as an education agent and an inbound tour operator, mainly catering for educational tours. The underlying philosophy of the company is that the customer is first and foremost. Since 2009 the company has been under new management, however the original business models and philosophy have been maintained and Shoji Australia continues to offer the same excellent service.

SERVICES

Tour Coordination for Groups & Individuals

Shoji Australia holds a travel agent licence and can book hotels, transport and tours for other companies, as well as for individuals. Our experienced, bilingual Japanese speaking tour guides provide an excellent tour guiding service for Japanese tourists visiting Perth.

Special Interest Tours

We organise tailor made tours for groups with a specific aim or interest. Examples of tours we have organised cover interests such as early childhood education, industry & environment, wildflower bushwalks, etc.

School Visit Coordination

We coordinate cultural exchange visits by groups (1 to 2 weeks) and individuals (2 weeks to 1 term) from Japan to Perth schools. Most of the participants are high school students. We also provide language support and guardianship services. Another program offers a Japanese parent the opportunity to study at an English school while a child attends a local primary school or kindergarten.

Homestays

We organise homestays for periods of one night to 3 years. We can also organise farm stay and recreational camps.

Guardianship Services

We act as a guardians for Japanese senior and junior high school students in Western Australia assisting them with school enrolment, visa extensions, banking, homestay placement, local advice, counselling etc.

Communication Services

Our interpreters can handle anything from everyday conversation to business negotiations. In addition, Shoji Australia has a professional, secretarial translation service for translating letters and documents from Japanese to English and vice-versa.

Business Coordination

We ensure that our clients' needs are met. We can arrange appointments, identify and contact organisations and individuals our clients may wish to see. These may range from banks, accountants and lawyers, to consultants and government departments. For those companies that decide to start a business, our services can be provided on an ongoing basis until they are fully integrated into Perth.
